KAN Training: Continuous Improvement

The Kern Alliance of Nonprofits (KAN) is hosting nonprofit trainings. Launched in 2016 by a small group of local nonprofit leaders who care deeply about building the capacity of nonprofit organizations in Kern County. They provide monthly educational workshops on various aspects of nonprofit work taught by qualified leaders, and quarterly social mixers designed to bring community-based organizations and their partners and supporters together for strategic networking.

Give Big Kern 2023!

Observed on the first Tuesday in May, Give Big Kern is a dynamic and fun day of giving hosted by Kern Community Foundation to foster local philanthropy in support of 501(c)(3) charitable organizations in Kern County. The effort allows participating agencies to gain visibility as they engage the entire community in “One day to celebrate the giving spirit of Kern County!” Following another successful Day of Giving in 2022 ($885,235 raised!), Give Big Kern is gearing up for another opportunity to harness the giving spirit of Kern County to the benefit of our hard-working nonprofits on Tuesday, May 2. Join us bright and early in Downtown Bakersfield! As donations are coming in we will begin our day at the Liberty Bell at 6am! Join us later that evening for the watch party at Temblor Brewing Company at 5pm!
