In solidarity with the communities devastated by the recent floods in Texas, Flood Ministries invites Kern County residents to a Candlelight Vigil & Prayer on Saturday, July 19th at 7:30 PM at The Liberty Bell in Bakersfield.
This community gathering offers an opportunity to express support and compassion for the many families and individuals facing loss, displacement, and ongoing tragedy. With heartbreaking reports of fatalities and missing children, this event serves as a space for hope, reflection, and shared grief.
🕯️ Candles will be provided while supplies last.
🤝 Donation information and resources to assist those affected in Texas will be available on site.
Open to the public – no reservation needed. Let us stand together in compassion and prayer.

Empowering Seniors of Kern County


We’re proud to highlight the impactful work of the Purpose Driven Foundation, which is dedicated to improving the lives of seniors (55+) in our community. Through their Equip for Life Program, eligible seniors can receive a free loan of durable medical equipment—including canes, walkers, wheelchairs, and more—on a case-by-case basis.

  • Pickup Location: 11901 Bolthouse Dr, Suite 100, Bakersfield, CA
  • Hours: Monday – Thursday, 9 AM – 5 PM

They also offer Senior Essentials Hygiene Kits filled with personal care items like oral hygiene products, skincare supplies, grooming tools, and incontinence products (limit one per person).
