Food for the Frontline Kern County
Food for the Frontline Kern County is raising funds to support local restaurants and emergency room staff impacted by COVID-19.
Working with Kern Community Foundation, Food for the Frontline will provide meals to Kern County emergency room staff prepared by local restaurants. The meals will be purchased and delivered with the support of community donations. Every dollar raised will feed medical personnel on the frontlines and provide assistance to the small businesses and employees impacted by the statewide quarantine.
Our goal is to provide as many meals as possible to staff members at county hospitals. Each meal will cost $20.00. All donations will go to the purchase of food and materials from local restaurants. These meals will be given directly to Kern County frontline medical staff. We plan to make our first delivery on Friday April 10th.
The next 30 days will be difficult for communities large and small as they struggle to combat COVID-19. You can social distance and join the fight by purchasing a meal here for a first responder. Whether you purchase one meal or ten, your effort will help us give back to the men and women on the frontline.
If you represent a local restaurant or catering company and want to participate please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org

Postponed – 2020 Women’s and Girls’ Fund Spring Luncheon
In consideration of the current situation surrounding the coronavirus and COVID-19, and in response to recent guidance from the California Department of Public Health, the Women’s and Girls’ Vision Committee has made the difficult decision to postpone our 2020 Spring Luncheon scheduled for April 16th at Seven Oaks Country Club. While we regret the inconvenience, we believe this decision is in the best interests of our grantees, guests and event staff.
The luncheon has tentatively been reschedule to September 15th so we can honor our wonderful grantees and Women Defining Philanthropy honorees. All tickets purchased for the April 16th event will be honored on the rescheduled date. Anyone wishing to receive a refund of their ticket can contact Kern Community Foundation.Seven Oaks County Club
