Angie Griffith, serves as the Associate Director of Scholarships at Kern Community Foundation. Since joining the Foundation in February 2018 as the Donor and Foundation Services Coordinator, Angie has played a pivotal role in advancing educational opportunities for students throughout Kern County. In 2024, she was promoted to Associate Director of Scholarships, where she now oversees the Foundation’s scholarship programs from application through award distribution, ensuring a seamless and impactful experience for donors, evaluators, and students alike.
Since 2019, Angie has managed more than $4.8 million in scholarship funds, helping over 1,800 students pursue their higher education goals. Her dedication to stewardship, accountability, and student success has strengthened donor engagement and expanded access to educational opportunities across the community. Through her leadership, the Foundation continues to build meaningful connections between generous donors and the students whose lives are transformed by scholarship support.
Angie’s commitment to service extends far beyond her professional role. For nearly a decade, she has been actively involved in nonprofit work, beginning with volunteer and fundraising efforts for organizations including the MS Walk, Relay for Life, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Children’s Miracle Network, and the Alzheimer’s Disease Association of Kern County. These experiences helped shape her passion for philanthropy and community impact.
Before transitioning to the nonprofit sector, Angie built a successful career spanning more than a decade in customer service, operations, and client relations. She began as a receptionist and advanced to Operations Manager at Pacific Dualies, an import/export auto parts company in Gardena, California. Her participation in Speed Equipment Market Association (SEMA) events broadened her industry expertise and professional network. After relocating to Bakersfield in 2008, she continued to develop her community-focused approach as Marketing Team Lead at Sam’s Club.
