Cristina Camacho

Associate Director of Community Impact

Cristina started with Kern Community Foundation in late 2020, and is involved in our convening and outreach work around the Kern Connected Community Network (KCCN), which engages medical and social-service providers with a state-of-the-art electronic platform to provide seamless referrals for vulnerable populations in order to improve health outcomes. She also assists with communication and outreach efforts around the B3K Prosperity Initiative, a public-private collaboration to develop a roadmap and investment plan for economic growth and inclusion in Kern County.

Prior to starting with the Foundation, Cristina, who is bilingual in English and Spanish, worked as the Regional Census Campaign Manager for NALEO Education Fund, helping with get-out-the-count and voter engagement efforts among Latinos in Kern, Tulare, Kings and Fresno Counties in California, and also pitching in with NALEO’s census efforts targeting Latino communities in Missouri and Colorado.

Cristina has a Bachelor’s degree in Business with emphasis in Marketing from CSUB. She was a Marketing Intern at GET Bus during her college years. She has also worked as a Community Outreach Specialist for Community Action Partnership of Kern, and her prior experience as a Medical Assistant at Proximity MD Urgent Care is an asset in her work with the KCCN.

Cristina and her husband, Armando, live in Shafter with their three dogs.
