These Wind Wolves Preserve events are free to the public and offer various ways to explore the local environment with staff assistance. The programs are funded through the Outdoor Equity Grants Program. \nShort and Themed Hikes For those looking for specific views or shorter walks\, the flyer lists several options: \n\nSunrise Hikes: Held on the San Emigdio Canyon Trail on July 19\, August 1\, and August 23.\nSunset Strolls: These occur on the Red-Tailed Trail on January 10\, February 7\, October 24\, and December 19.\nWildflower Hikes: Available on the San Emigdio Canyon Trail during the peak blooming season on March 7 and March 15.\nStargazing Hikes: Evening treks on the Red-Tailed Trail are scheduled for June 13\, July 11\, and August 15.\n\nNight and Challenging Hikes Include activities for different skill levels: \n\nNight Hikes: Five dates are available throughout the summer on the San Emigdio Canyon Trail\, including June 19\, June 27\, July 17\, July 25\, and August 7.\nChallenge Hikes: These include Overlook Challenges on January 11 and 18\, and a Canyon Challenge loop on November 28.\nBackcountry Hikes: Longer treks are scheduled for the Los Osos Wetlands Trail and El Camino Viejo Wilderness Trail on various dates in January\, February\, and November.\n\nRegistration Information: While these hikes are free\, the flyer states that reservations are required.
