DESCRIPTION:2nd Annual Highland Music Gala\nJoin us for an unforgettable evening of music\, dining\, and giving back at the Annual Highland Music Gala ! \nHighland musicians have a special event invitation to march at Pearl Harbor on\nDecember 7\, 2025! We want to see Highland High School and Bakersfield\,\nCalifornia represented at this momentous occasion! \nPurchase tickets online at: BMTSTARS.COM\nDinner is included in the price of a ticket ($85 + $5.41 processing fees) with an entree\nchoice of tri-tip\, chicken\, or pasta. There will be live entertainment\, games\, and amazing\nsilent auction opportunities. The lounge bar will be open for beer\, wine\, and cocktails. \n \nBackground: Highland High School opened in 1970 in northeast Bakersfield\, surrounded by open fields and land used for grazing sheep. As the school is now in its 5th decade\, Highland has realized tremendous growth in many areas of the performing arts. One unique element of the music program that sets them apart from others is their core group of students who play the bagpipes\, a tradition that has carried on for decades. Known as the Highland Scots\, students are recognized by their wearing of the kilts and\ntheir eye-catching green\, blue\, and white. Their marching band is known as the Black Watch Brigade\, a royal regiment of Scotland. Their field show this year is entitled “To Those About to Rock\,” transforming classic tunes into a fun and energetic display. HHS also has a full orchestra\, and a jazz band that plays at special events. SUMMARY:Safe Haven Kids League of California City: A Giving Resource Spectacular
DESCRIPTION:Safe Haven Kids League of California City is an organization dedicated to help families especially. the youth in our community. Over the last two years we have been able to help more than 1000 families in & out of our community & the community we serve. We are currently in the early stages of planning our “A Giving Resource Spectacular event” . This event is designed to help families in need with the Thanksgiving Holiday. \nThis event will include the following: Free food boxes to families in need\, free produce\, free canned goods\, free turkeys or hams\, free educational items\, free cases of water\, free giveaways to all that attend\, art & crafts for the kids\, Karaoke\, hygiene kits. Food & beverage\, recycling and more. Also Cal-City Starbucks will be there at our event helping & giving away free coffee & Hot chocolate to our community\, we will also have 5 Starbucks stores & employees in this event helping give out food to families in need in our & surrounding community (Cap K) Community Action Partners of Kern\, will be there with free food boxes & Produces free to all communities. We are looking to have 8 organizations join this event\, to better serve our community.
